Fred originally lost his home because his owner had to go into a nursing home and no one in the family was able to take him.  He was adopted but returned when his new owner developed health problems and the doctor recommended that she give up all of her pets. This big boy was so scared when he came to the shelter – imagine how he felt losing his first home after so many years and then losing one again through no fault of his own.  He is a little shy, but he warms up quickly. He will “talk” to you and loves attention and petting. He has a mild heart murmur, & with the very inexpensive medication he takes daily, it will not affect the quality of his life. Fred really deserves a great home where he can enjoy life again.  Fred does best without any other cats around.  When he is around other cats, he sometimes develops behavior problems.
